什么时候能开始用

急诊等待期豁免
等待期内一般不给付。但当治疗医生出具证明、且承保商认可属于急症情形时，等待期不适用。具体判定以官方条款为准。
从别家转过来怎么算
从另一家澳洲保险公司的 OSHC 转入时，前后保单之间不能有空档。若原保单不是 OSHC，只要在离开原澳洲保险公司后两个月内加入 ahm OSHC，一般无需重新服等待期。

Waiting periods
A waiting period applies when you join ahm OSHC, or change your cover to include new or upgraded services. We
won’t pay benefits for any items purchased or services received while you are serving a waiting period.
Switching from another health insurer?
If you are joining from another Australian health insurer’s OSHC, there must not be a gap between the end date of
your previous cover and the start date of your ahm OSHC membership.
If your previous cover was not OSHC, then provided you joined ahm OSHC within two months of leaving your
previous Australian insurer you generally won’t need to re-serve any waiting periods at ahm.
Waiting periods
Ambulance transport.
Out-of-hospital medical services (e.g GP consultations).
Prescription medicines.
None
Treatment for conditions requiring hospitalisation that are not deemed pre-existing conditions.
Pregnancy and birth, and Miscarriage and termination of pregnancy services (policies with a duration of
2 years or more*)
2 months For pre-existing conditions relating to Hospital psychiatric services.
Pre-existing conditions
An ailment, illness or condition that, in the opinion of a medical practitioner appointed by us, the signs or
12 months symptoms of which existed at any time in the six month period ending on the day that you became insured
under the policy or changed your cover.
Pregnancy and birth - in-hospital and out-of-hospital services (policies with a duration of less than 2 years*) *Important information about pregnancy-related waiting periods Policy duration means the total length of Overseas Student Health Cover purchased under your policy, based on your student visa period. Where the duration of your policy is 2 years or more, there will be no waiting periods for Pregnancy and birth, and pre-existing conditions relating to Miscarriage and termination of pregnancy services. Emergency Treatment Waiting Period Waiver Benefits are generally not payable for any service
